We are looking for a Conduct Risk & Oversight Specialist to join our team.

This role will be based at our head office in Invercargill and is primarily responsible for supporting an uplift in risk maturity across the Group through the delivery of a robust Conduct Risk Management Framework and supporting an effective and transparent Complaints Management Framework.

The key functions of this role will be to:

  • Embed the Group Conduct Risk Management Framework, provide support and assistance for Framework integration.
  • Utilise data and metrics to draw insights and contribute to continuous improvement which strengthens the Conduct Risk Management Framework
  • Undertake Conduct Risk reviews and assurance activities to monitor the effectiveness of the Conduct Risk Management Framework and associated policies and controls
  • Manage the execution of the Bank Conduct & Culture Action Plan, delivering actions owned by the 2nd Line of Accountability and overseeing the delivery of actions owned by the 1st Line of Accountability
  • Supports the implementation of the Complaints Management Framework across the Bank
  • Develop and implement a Controls Assurance Programme to determine the adequacy and effectiveness of processes and controls to monitor Conduct Risk and Complaints

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Relevant Risk Management experience in the finance services industry
  • Knowledge of governance and compliance frameworks
  • Experience in writing reports, using data and metrics for insights

You may also:

  • have contributed to the planning of a Controls Assurance Programme
  • be outcomes focused with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • have the ability to anticipate risks and devise solutions and have comfort with ambiguity and change
